About

The long road to celebrations…

After reading an article in 2016 listing Enfield as the 6th unhappiest London borough to live in, I knew I had to do something.

Over a casual chat with a friend about my nine-day stint without human contact, the Enfield Wellbeing Showcase was born.

Had I known then that the ‘one off project’ uniting wellbeing practitioners, local community and charities, would evolve so far, I may have said no!

Running a volunteer-led community-based event has its ups, downs and up-ups eventually. It’s been a long road to bring businesses and residents together.

I have three amazing women who support my vision through thick and thin. They amaze me every year with the effort and expertise they put into the Wellbeing Showcase (it does work, they come back).

Four years on we are celebrating not only being a case study for a paper to Government, we have been awarded a certificate from the Mayor of Enfield for our Contribution to the Community and the Federation of Small Business popped us on as the cover feature for First Voice Magazine.

Quite a lot to celebrate as we take our success and share it with other London boroughs.
