Networking: FSB Wellbeing Event

The Art of Simple Stress Relief for Business Owners.

This is one in a series of thought-provoking presentations for business owners organised by local FSB members who are part of a SIG, (A Special Interest Group) focused on the mental, physical and financial wellbeing for everyone to help boost economic output.

Special guest Cheryl-lya Broadfoot will deliver  'The art of simple stress relief for Business Owners'.

Open to all small businesses and the self employed and free to attend. #Together we are stronger.

Networking: FSB Women Who Inspire

Celebrating International Womens Day 2021 #ChooseToChallenge.

This quarterly event will also be a celebration of womens' achievement, and the London regions precursor to this years International Women’s Day on 8 March 2021 #ChooseToChallenge #IWD2021 on the 8 March.

We have a full agenda on offer, with three diverse and inspirational women in business, who have all agreed to take a turn in our infamous interview chair.

Dr Roshni Beeharry: A London-based Portfolio Medical Educator, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and former NHS Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation Medicine. She is also a published poet, writer and trained Writing for Wellbeing & Personal Development Facilitator, MA Creative Writing & Personal Development, Sussex University.

Roshni is a passionate and active advocate of holistic care and wellbeing as a doctor and as an individual, and this includes being an active proponent of Arts in Health. She actively integrates her passion for writing and the Health Humanities, into her work as an educator. In 2018 she pioneered her own Creative Writing for Personal & Professional Development modules for medical students, delivering these at the renowned Trinity College Dublin Medical School.

On 5th February 2021, Roshni formally launched her business, Storied Selves, Writing for Wellbeing & Personal Development

This provides writing workshops for the public, for those in healthcare fields including clinicians, academics and students, and for organisations.

Roshni is also planning to provide Writing for Wellbeing sessions for those receiving care in health, social care and community settings.

Clare Donovan: Founder of Cooking Champions who provide cooking lessons and food workshops for all ages. From children starting to learn about food, teenagers becoming more independent and adults who want to learn more. For the last seven months, Cooking Champions have been working closely with many local organisations to support Enfield residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, they have made over 28,000 meals; distributed a further 17,000 meals and continue to provide vulnerable families with fresh produce on a weekly basis.

Sandra Monero: Founder of Monero Kids Boutique & Monero Dolls. Due to Covid Sandra had to close her store and move her shop online. She used the government grant to open a pop-up shop in Hackney which allowed many local businesses to use it and sell their products and services.

WORKSHOP:

Cool as Canva - The Practical Experience

RBN Plus - Responsible Business Network - funded by UnLtd.

Thursday 18th February 2021
4 pm - 6 pm
(online workshop -  booking via Zoe at RBN)

RBN hosts Cheryl-lya Broadfoot of Wellbeing Showcase who will be showing you how to use Canva to help create visuals with impact.

In this two hour practical workshop, Cheryl-lya will not only be walking you through the basics of making great graphics using Canva, she'll also be virtually-holding your hand while you make your own Canva creation(s).

Be prepared to try something new and by the end of the session, you will have:

  • created your first share-worthy social media graphics
  • saved money by expertly using the free version
  • had a chance to practice making images on your own (it's easier than you think!)
  • been able to continue making great graphics confidently on your own

Cheryl-lya will have you feeling as Cool as Canva by the end of the practical.

Mastering Mailchimp for Beginners

In this one hour workshop, Cheryl-lya will show you everything you need to know about getting started with Mailchimp.

From setting up your account through to all the best bits offer… This workshop will demystify your brain and show you that Mailchimp can be fun.

  • how to make the best of the free version
  • saving money on the paid version
  • creating low cost/free professional communications for your business
  • and even a fancy fun thing or two!

Cheryl-lya will have you feeling like a Mailchimp Master by the end of the hour.
